About the Movie

House of Dynamite is the latest film from director Kathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty). It’s a fast-paced political thriller that follows the chaos and confusion after an unexpected missile launch, and the people racing to figure out who’s behind it. It parallels the plot of the bestselling book “Nuclear War: A Scenario” by Annie Jacobson.

It’s intense, emotional, and full of moral questions about nuclear weapons, power, responsibility, and truth. Perfect for a night of reflection and conversation.

How to Join our Teleparty

We’ll be watching together using Teleparty, a free browser extension that lets everyone stream the movie on your own computer at the same time and chat while we watch.

 Here’s how to set it up before the event:

1. Install the free Teleparty extension on your computer.
   • Go to www.teleparty.com and click “Install Teleparty.”
   • It’ll take you to the Chrome Web Store. Click “Add to Chrome.”
     You’ll see a small red “TP” icon appear in your browser toolbar.
2. You must have a Netflix account .
   • Everyone needs their own Netflix account to join the party. You can open it through a browser or the Netflix app if you have it installed.
3. Get the party link.
   • Starting at 6:45 you can join our Google Meet 
     1. Google Meet joining link: https://meet.google.com/vwu-bwaf-ras
     2. Or dial: ‪(US) +1 321-586-1008‬ PIN: ‪988 241 060‬#
   • During the Google meet we will share the Teleparty link 
   • You will click the link — it’ll open the movie in your browser.
4. Join the chat.
   • Click the red “TP” icon in your toolbar. You’ll be added to the synchronized viewing session with the chat window on the right-hand side.

That’s it! You’ll be able to watch the film in real time with everyone else!
