Season’s Greetings,
Tri-Valley CAREs’ year may be wrapping up, but our work pursuing peace, justice and a healthy environment is as busy as ever! With our 40th Anniversary Party coming up (you are invited), the Final Site-Wide Environmental Impact Statement for Continued Operations of Livermore Lab (SWEIS) just released (still in its 30 day comment period), and a new nuclear weapon (the B61-13) being announced while tensions between nuclear weapons states run high, our team is planning and preparing for a very full 2024.
Very soon, Giving Tuesday will be upon us (November 28th!) – an annual, global celebration of generosity (and gratitude) and a time when many of our supporters choose to make year-end donations in support of our work.
At Tri-Valley CAREs, we count on the support of our donors to support our work. Understanding this, one of our long time foundation funders has offered to match the first $10,000 we raise in our end of the year campaign, which includes Giving Tuesday!
By donating before the end of 2023, you have the exciting opportunity to have your tax-deductible contribution doubled! Your contribution will go a long way towards supporting Tri-Valley CAREs priorities – from addressing the deficiencies in the SWEIS, to amplifying the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, to confronting the dangers of a 21st century arms race.
On behalf of the Tri-Valley CAREs team, I want to thank you for your generosity and ongoing support, and I look forward to our continued efforts challenging nuclear weapons where they start, Livermore Lab.
Talk soon,
Scott Yundt
