Join Tri-Valley CAREs (Communities Against a Radioactive Environment) on Thursday, Oct. 22, 5:30-6:30 p.m. for a walking tour of Livermore Lab’s off-site contamination and cleanup! We’ll meet at the Susan Lane cul-de-sac and walk 0.5 miles from Lawrence Livermore National Lab’s perimeter and through the Arroyo Seco path above the contaminated off-site groundwater plume. We will talk about the plume’s history, how it was remediated, ongoing on-site contamination, and share the history of environmental cleanup in this neighborhood. We’ll also talk about the role Tri-Valley CAREs and local residents played in this groundwater cleanup.
